This policy explains what InTree collects and how it is used. We collect only what we need to run the service.
What we collect
- Account data: name, email, organization, and sign-in identity (Google/LinkedIn/ORCID or email).
- Usage data: searches, projects, and request logs (including IP address and timing) used to operate, secure, and improve the service.
- Uploaded content: files and notes you add to your projects, kept isolated to your account.
- Billing data: handled by our payment processor; we store subscription status and receipts, not card numbers.
How we use it
To provide search and analysis, maintain security, prevent abuse, process payments, and communicate service and billing notices. We do not sell your personal data.
Retention
Request logs containing IP addresses and query text are retained for a limited operational window and then deleted or aggregated. Account and project data persist until you delete them or close your account.
Your choices
You can edit your profile and delete projects at any time. Contact support to request account deletion or a copy of your data.
